This trip has been a whirlwind of blessings and opportunity.  As some of you may know, Nike Sportswear selected me as their stylist for their Run The Runway project – a new addition to the Nike Women’s Marathon.  My goal with this project was to create a cohesive vision for style and sports.  Considering my love for fashion and passion for running, I couldn’t have asked for a more suitable opportunity to trend new style elements into the look of sports while influencing fashion components into the mix.  The 20,000 marathon participants had a chance to submit their styled photo via Facebook in which 8 girls were selected by myself and my Runway Entourage.  Our final votes were based on women who embodied originality, confidence and of course a desire to look great for victory!

Day 1, we were introduced to the final 8 who were all gifted with an all expense paid trip and treated nothing less than royalty.  Consider it a princess runner’s fairytale!  A private driver picked them up from the airport and brought them to their home away from home eco-friendly mansion.  Yes – a 3 story mansion complete with an indoor pool at the main entrance, oversized entries and windows at every angle, beautifully themed bedrooms with exclusive Nike product awaiting their arrival, a private chef and a rooftop terrace that overlooked the city.  Think Nike meets Real World.  Each of the eight girls were immediately greeted by their Runway Entourage – Myself (Stylist), Dorothy Hong (Photographer), Christy and Duda (Bloggers – We Can Pretend), Chad, Sam & AK (Videographers – We Are Not Pilgrims).

Time was of the essence so upon their arrival, we immediately went straight into hair, makeup and styling.  The product used for the shoot spread across several categories – Sportswear, Running and Training.

Here are some behind the scenes photos….
