The race was spectacular. It was a lot more mellow than the Chicago and New York marathon but nonetheless I was inspired to keep running through all of Rome’s landmarks and historic monuments. Starting at the Colosseum, cruising through Vatican City and seeing the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, the race was surely a visual feast!

There were concerns about about running on cobblestone as it makes the race more difficult and strenuous BUT I beg to differ as my memory of this race was more like a walk in the park and not nearly as challenging as my previous races!

My best time yet…..I had met VICTORY again. Praise God.
